His Legacy… Edmund Joseph Guzman, 93, passed away October 15, 2025.  He was born on March 24, 1932, in Pontiac, Michigan to Jesus Guzman and Julieta (Federico) Guzman. Ed proudly served his country in the Army from 1955-1957. He married the love of his life, Barbara McCoy, on April 17, 1980, in Pontiac, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  Ed had a very charming personality and a good sense of humor.  He enjoyed hiking outdoors, camping and visiting the national parks.  Ed loved being out on the water and taught his children and all their friends to water ski as well as snow ski.

His Family… Ed will be missed by his Spouse Barbara Guzman; his children, David Guzman, Catherine Stevens, Ann Marie Guzman; grandchildren Monica, Melissa, Wesley, Gabriel, Nicholas, Evan, Gabriella; great grandchildren Kayleigh, Paige, Jack, Riley; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Julieta Guzman; granddaughter, Elizabeth; Siblings, Louie Guzman, Esther Rhoades.

His Farewell… Ed’s family and friends will gather 3:00-7:00 PM (6:00 PM Rosary), Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home in Howell, Michigan. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 10:30 AM (9:30 AM gathering), at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Howell. Father Brett Ivey will serve as celebrant.
