Edward A. Guerrini
1956 – 2024
Edward Anthony Guerrini, 68, of Novi and Ann Arbor, passed away on December 21, 2024. He was born on April 5, 1956, in Southfield, Michigan, to Elbert and Dorothy (Tarloski) Guerrini.
Ed was a longtime resident of Michigan and a dedicated bench chemist with BASF, where he worked for his entire career. His work in automotive coatings, including his involvement in the Mystic Mustang project, which developed color-changing paint for vehicles, reflected his innovative and creative approach to problem-solving. Ed retired as a global executive for innovative solutions at BASF. He was known for his warm and friendly nature. Ed had a unique way of connecting with everyone he met, and he will be remembered for the many friendships he cultivated over the years.
Ed is survived by his children, Robert (Lisa) Guerrini and Victoria (Daniel) Power; his grandchildren, Evelyn, Alexander, Stella Maris, Zelie, Hugo, and Isaac; his sister, Marie Beisel; and his nephew, John (Allie) Beisel. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Elbert and Dorothy Guerrini.
In accordance with Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at 1 PM, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 11 AM. Fr. Dan Kogut will serve as Celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center.
