His Legacy… Edward Leonard Kobylarz, 90, passed away February 5, 2020.  He was born on October 27, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan to Polish immigrants John Kobylarz and Mary (Iskra) Kobylarz. Edward married the love of his life, Jeannette (Zywiol) Kobylarz, on November 26, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan.   He was one of nine kids and went on to have eight children of his own.  He served in the Army during the Korean War and came home to marry his high school sweetheart and make his own contribution to the baby boom. He was a man of many talents, he built the family cottage in Gaylord as well as their Kamp Kobylarz in Lincoln, Michigan.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt, golf, pick morel mushrooms, made maple syrup, wine and much more.  He adored his family most of all.  He was witty and loved to smile and give kisses. He will be missed by all who knew him.

 

His Family… Edward will be missed by his children, Mark Kobylarz, Joann (Bill) Trent, Jonathan (Nancy) Kobylarz, Matthew (Tracey) Kobylarz, Patrick (Kathi) Kobylarz, Dianne (Ray) Singer, Jill (Chris) Sullivan, and Luke Kobylarz; and a dear Dziadzia to Joshua, Jennifer, Alex, Julie, Chelsea, Christopher, Andrew, Nathaniel, Jacob, Kathryn, Chantal, Amy, Ryan, Bryan, and Bradford (Buddy); great grandchildren, Aidan, Jordan, Josephine, Riley, and Lillian. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Kobylarz.

 

His Farewell… Edward’s family and friends will gather Monday, February 10, 2020 from 4:00-8:00pm with a 7:00pm rosary at St. Joseph Country Catholic Church, 6805 Mast Road, Dexter, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held on Tuesday, February 11, at 11:00am (10AM gathering) for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Country Catholic Church, Dexter, Michigan.
