Edward Ronald Koss passed away at the age of 89 on December 2, 2025. He was born on August 6, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to Anton Koss and Mary (Klancnik) Koss. Edward married the love of his life, Vivian Sue Qualls, on May 11, 1957 in Fraser, Michigan and enjoyed over 68 years of marriage. Edward will be remembered as a mild-mannered man with a clever sense of humor. He had a long, successful career as an Engineering leader working for Chrysler, Allied Signal and Honeywell. After retirement, he became an expert witness and reached legendary status from the companies and attorneys that hired him. Edward loved to travel and visited all 50 states, most Canadian provinces, Europe, China, Korea and Australia. He could fix anything and appreciated the challenge of finding the solution. He especially enjoyed restoring old cars. Most important in Edward’s life was his family.

He will be missed by his wife of 68+ years, Vivian Koss; his children, Jennifer (John) Dudick, Craig (Betsy) Koss, Steve (Holly) Koss, Sherry Cheatum and Domingo Koss; his sister, Judi (Paul) Smigowski; his grandchildren, Alex (Tuong) Dudick, Kyle Dudick, Cameron (Isabel) Koss, Samantha (Andrew) Borowiak and Lauren (Evan) Koss-Schrauben; his great-grandchildren, Blake, Caleb, Sofi, Whitney, Cole and Natalie. He also has numerous cousins and other family members. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary, his father, Anton and his brother, John.
