Edwardine "Cookie" Lorraine (Biernat) Laskey

Her Legacy… Edwardine Lorraine Laskey, age 88, passed away November 9, 2022. She was born on July 29, 1934, in Detroit, MI to Stanley and Katherine (Pachut) Biernat. Cookie married the love of her life, Gerald Laskey, on October 27, 1962. She was a bookkeeper at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pinckney. Cookie was also the former deputy clerk in Putnam Township, MI. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pinckney. Cookie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Cookie leaves behind her sister, Albina Selow; and thirteen nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; sisters, Frances, Emily, Jeanie, Kathleen, Lillian; and brothers, Edward, Stanley, and Walter.

Her Farewell… Cookie’s Community Farewell will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at (10AM gathering) 11AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church 10610 Dexter Pinckney Rd. Pinckney, MI. Father Dan Kogut will serve as celebrant. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lansing, MI. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church.
