His Legacy…Eric James Meinicke, 64, passed away April 20, 2025.  He was born on November 6, 1960, in Belleville, Michigan to Walter Meinicke and Dodie (Hood) Meinicke. Eric was a master carpenter who loved to build things and was incredibly hard working. He was known as a jokester and was everyone’s friend. Eric was a father figure to many in his neighborhood and he was a wonderful father and grandfather. Even though he was a great cook, he enjoyed having breakfast at Aunt Betty’s Restaurant, one of his favorite local spots. Eric was a true Detroit Red Wings fan, often watching the game while enjoying a Molson Golden. He liked antiques, classic cars and fishing.  Eric’s favorite holiday was the Fourth of July, he loved watching the fireworks. Eric was deeply loved by his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

His Family… Eric will be missed by his children, Jake Meinicke, Trevor (Samantha) Meinicke, Torin Meinicke, Chase Meinicke; siblings, Valerie (Dave) Troschinetz, Scot Rooker; grandchildren, Wyatt, Kaylie, Ashlyn, Evelyn, Claudia; and former wife, Robin Meinicke. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dodie; and siblings, Samera, Jeff and Todd.
