Florence Lindberg

Her Legacy… Florence Lindberg, 96, passed away May 2, 2026.  She was born on August 11, 1929, in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania to John Luke and Catherine (Zasuwa) Gorajek. Florence married the love of her life, Marvin Lindberg, on May 13, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. Florence was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother (Gigi). She was the heart of her family, someone whose warmth, kindness, and steady presence touched all who knew her. A loving partner to her husband, Marvin, she shared a life filled with laughter, memories, and unwavering companionship. Together, they created a home centered on love and family traditions that will be remembered for generations. Florence was a proud and dedicated mother who always put her family first.  One of her greatest joys came from being a grandmother. Whether cheering them on, sharing stories, or simply spending time together, she was their biggest supporter and a constant source of love. She had a passion for cooking, where she cooked many meals for her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, bowling and reading. One of her favorite traditions was traveling to Pennsylvania and Florida with Marvin and their children, where they took many side trips to various destinations. Those summer trips were filled with love and anticipation, especially the cherished picnic baskets they brought along with simple moments that became lifelong memories. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her devotion to her family, and the countless ways she made life brighter for those around her.

Her Family… Florence will be missed by her children; Al (Christina) Lindberg, Susan (Marty) Lerner, David (Susan) Lindberg, Dan (Jill) Lindberg, Phil (Tammy) Lindberg; grandchildren; Jeffrey, Eric, Kristin, Danny, Matthew, Kimberly, Halie, Bradford, Bryce, Bryan, Brett, Landon, Lauren, Susannah, Jeffree and Leah; great grandchildren; Scarlett, Langston, Coral, Adelynne, Kennedy, Jackson, Savannah, Easton, Julian, Joelle, Owen, Cameron, Lane, Holland, Jadyn, Jazz, Jackson, Wyatt, Sebastian, River, Ruby, Jack and Tulsi; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her dear husband Marvin Lindberg, her parents John Luke and Catherine Gorajek, her 7 brothers and their spouses and many good friends.

Her Farewell… Florence’s Mass of Christian Burial will on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00AM (10:00AM gathering) at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Brighton, Michigan. Father Mathias Thelen will serve as celebrant.
