Francesco Pipitone

His Legacy… Our sweet little saint, Francesco Baldassare André Pipitone, passed away surrounded by family on June 13, 2026. He was born on September 9, 2023, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Dan and Elise (van Holsbeeck) Pipitone. His two older siblings, Anthony and Gianna, welcomed him with open arms and loving kisses. For two and a half years, we were blessed by his joyful spirit, social nature, contagious smiles and his signature “belly laughs”. Francesco loved life and shared a special bond with his family and all who cared for him. His loving gaze would light up whenever his brother and sister talked to him or played by his side. He delighted in his sister’s loving care and the joyful surprises from his brother’s “boo”. He loved it when they would climb into his crib and we are pretty sure they taught him how to “jump” in his bed. He loved story time, songs, games of peek-a-boo, cuddles with family, and playing with his brother’s toy cars. Although he had no words, he communicated with his joyful smiles and silly grins. His mischievous antics brought happiness to everyone around him and will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him. Our time with him was much too short but he lived life to his fullest capacity. His adventures included ice skating, sledding, beach day, road trips to Ohio, sleepovers at Nonno and Nonna’s, splashing his feet in a kiddie pool, a visit to the Blessed Solanus Casey Center, a bike ride, and visits to the park.

His Family… Francesco will be greatly missed by his parents, Dan and Elise Pipitone; siblings, Anthony & Gianna; grandparents; Anthony & Maria Pipitone, Marnix & Beatrice van Holsbeeck.

His Farewell… Francesco’s family and friends will gather 4:00PM-7:00PM, Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes in Howell, Michigan. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 10:30 AM (9:30 AM Gathering) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Gary Koenigsknecht will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Health Care International or SOFT (Support Organization for Trisomy).
