Frank DeBono Obituary

DeBono, Frank Paul

Pinckney, Michigan

His Legacy… Frank Paul DeBono, 85, passed away July 13, 2020.  He was born on November 27, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan to Emmanuel DeBono and Delores (Borg) DeBono. Frank married the love of his life, Mary Blackie (Saddler) DeBono, on May 18, 1963, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a kind, selfless husband, father and grandfather.  Frank worked at Ford Motor Company as a clay modeling manager and later retired from there.  He was a wonderful mentor to the people he worked with and was always up for a challenge and never gave up.  Frank was a skilled woodworker and specialized in making birdhouses.  He also made his own wine which was called DeBono Red.  Taking boating trips with his family and friends was a normal way of life and he created many beautiful memories for everyone who went along.  He is best described as doing everything “well” with his positive outlook in life.  He is going to be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His Family… Frank will be missed by his children, Colleen (Edward Golden) Gillies-Golden, Maureen (Brian) Bardoni; brothers, Joseph DeBono, Victor DeBono; grandchildren, Graham Gillies, Molly Gillies, Loren Golden, Cameron Bardoni, Aiden Bardoni, Riley Bardoni. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary DeBono; brother, Emmanuel DeBono and parents, Emmanuel and Delores DeBono.
