Palermo, Franklin “Frank”
Novi, Michigan
His Legacy…Franklin “Frank” John Palermo, 83, passed away June 11, 2020. He was born on February 4, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Vincent Palermo and Marion (DePalma) Palermo. Frank married the love of his life, Susan Baker, on June 28, 1958, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Frank had a Bachelor degree from Wayne State University, and was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi, during his time at college. He loved classical music, and would often go to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Frank knew that the morning performances were the best, because they had donuts. Bridge was a favorite past-time for Frank, as was riding his motorcycle. He could often be found tinkering around the house, and could fix anything. Food was very important to Frank. He loved good food from around the world, and he could cook it too. New Orleans cuisine was a favorite. Frank made Christmas Eve special every year, by cooking a seafood feast for the family. At Halloween, Frank would buy the biggest pumpkin he could find and do some amazing carvings. Frank met his wife at age 15, and she became his world. He would often say “if you upset my wife, you upset me!” Family was the most important thing to Frank, and spending time with them was paramount.
