His Legacy… Garrett Robert Lasky, age 39, passed away April 26, 2022. He was born on October 12, 1982 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Sandra (Novinski) Lasky. Garrett will forever be remembered for his free-spirit, his knack for tinkering, and his bleeding heart to always help a friend in need.  He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.  He was an avid four-wheeler, loved fast toys, and the thrill-of-the-ride.  When he wasn’t tinkering in the garage, Garrett could be found working in the kitchen of any one of many dining establishments around town.  He loved to serve others, cook, and took great joy in seeing others smile. His family will remember times spent at Silver Lake Sand Dunes, traveling up north, and simple nights spent around the kitchen table playing cards.  He was always there to help out a friend or even a stranger in need.  He had a knack for computers, phones, and all things electronic.  His knowledge of general mechanics was a blessing to so many people and the family garage was where you’d routinely find Garrett either fixing a car of his own or for a friend in need.  Garrett was always a kid at heart.  Children loved him, especially his son and three nephews.  From driving four-wheelers to playing video games, Garrett could always put a smile on their faces.   

 His Family… Garrett leaves behind his son, Connor; parents, Robert and Sandra; and his sister Allison (Nick) Aiello. He is also survived by his nephews, Dominic, Vincent, & Santino.  Lastly, Garrett leaves behind his girlfriend, Kelsea Tuttle. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter & Eleanor Novinski and Clemens & Elizabeth Lasky. 

His Farewell… Garrett’s family and friends will gather on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 3 to 8PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel in Howell, MI.
