His Legacy…Gary Thomas Leonard, 58, passed away October 30, 2025. He was born on June 9, 1967, in Detroit, MI to George Leonard and Josephine (Kamm) Leonard. Gary will be remembered as a loving father, and someone who always could make others smile. Gary was a true Michigan sports guy through and through. He loved many sports and was well rounded in many kinds of athletic endeavors. Gary was a coach for the Pinckney baseball and football teams, played hockey for fun, played softball, and spent lots of time on the golf course. When winter rolled in, he often went ice fishing. A man of many talents, Gary was also a great cook and an even better baker his kids will always remember the homemade cakes he made for their birthdays. He had a knack for bringing his children and friends together, whether around the dinner table, during a friendly Wii bowling tournament, or just sharing a laugh. Gary loved a good trip to the casino, enjoyed his favorite music by Kid Rock and Elton John, and enjoyed visiting Florida. He was devoted, caring, and happiest when surrounded by those he loved most.
