His Legacy… Gary Michael Stone, 72, passed away January 17, 2026.  He was born on August 12, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to Lawrence Stone and Ruby (Anderson) Stone. Gary married the love of his life, Karen Jacobs 53 years ago, on February 12, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan.   He will be remembered for his devotion to his faith and family.  Gary spent over 18 years as a proud UAW Member and Ford Motor Company employee, retiring in the spring of 2016.  In his early years he enjoyed bowling and golfing. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and supporting his children and grandchildren by attending their sporting events. Gary enjoyed watching college football and other sports on television. Attending church at Northridge Church brought him peace and hope as he drew closer to God.

His Family… Gary will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Karen; his children, Gregory Stone, Brian Stone, Shannon Himmelspach; siblings, Gregory Stone, Karen Botkin, Kimberly (Daniel) Deon, Cindy Richards; grandchildren, Summer, Kylie, Hudson, Colton, Ella, Isabel, William; along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ruby Stone; his son, Kevin Stone.

His Farewell… Gary’s family and friends will gather 10:30am-12:30pm (12:30pm Community Farewell Service), Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan. Pastor Geoff Black will serve as celebrant.
