His Legacy… Gaylen J. Minamyer, 82, passed away September 19, 2021. He was born on April 21, 1939, in El Paso, Texas to Owen Gordon Ross and Georgia Lorraine (Dessauer) Ross. Gaylen is married to Marion Guip. Gaylen is retired from the US Navy as a Radioman Chief Petty Officer. He loved to sail and go scuba diving and also enjoyed trips to Arizona. Gaylen was an active HAM Radio operator. He will be remembered as hard working, and helpful to anyone that asked. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Gaylen will be missed by his wife, Marion; his children, Andrea (Craig) Rhodes, Ingrid (Tony) Bierl, Fred (Karin) Minamyer, Heidi (Ken) Wayland and Karl (Candice) Minamyer; grandsons, Bradley (Essence) Rhodes, Adam, Austin (Karlen), Logan (Evelyn), Cameron, Caleb and Joshua (Emily); granddaughters, Anna, Autumn, Sarah, Molly, Natalia, Lyla and Anola; great granddaughter, Treasure; brother, Jack (Lisa) Minamyer and sister Avis Loper.
His Farewell… Gaylen’s family and friends will gather Thursday, September 23, from 3:00PM-7:00PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel, Howell, MI, with his community farewell beginning at 7PM at the funeral home. Pastor Jones will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation.
