His Legacy… Gerald Arnold Lindenberg, “Jerry”, 88, passed away August 9, 2025.  He was born on December 17, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to Frederick Eric Lindenberg and Henrietta (Murray) Lindenberg. Gerald married his high school sweetheart, Sylvia Hickok, on August 3, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a true partner and husband, proud father and loving grandfather. He is survived and missed by his two daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Horan, and Sheila (Joe) Swyrtek. Also, his four grandchildren, Raina, Joshua, and Jett Horan and Brianna (Preston) Hagerman, and sister, Nancy Linden. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brothers, David, Teddy and James Lindenberg and sister Joyce Craddock.

Jerry was a hardworking man, whose career spanned 20 years in banking and another 20 years at General Motors and Saturn. Jerry loved to spend time traveling, first with his family, then his wife in their later years. He particularly loved visiting museums, cruising and using his specially created system to separate the casinos from their money.  He also learned how to build computers in his later years and was the family IT technician well into his 70’s.  He also had a passion for reading and was an avid enthusiast of history.  Jerry was a self-taught scholar who loved to share his “nuggets of wisdom” and knowledge with those around him.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. We take comfort in envisioning him reunited with his loving wife and his mother; whom he has missed dearly since her early death.

His Farewell… Jerry’s family and friends will gather 3:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, August 17, 2025 (4:00 PM Service) at Grace Lutheran Church, Howell, Michigan. Pastor Ken Greble will serve as celebrant.
