His Legacy… Gerald Alan Mickel, 70, passed away February 6, 2020.  He was born on January 29, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Kelly Mickel Sr. and Violet Mae (Bevens) Mickel. Gerald married the love of his life, Geraldine (Johns) Mickel, on March 29, 1985, in Redford, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a wonderful, loving man who would always lend a helping hand for those in need.  Gerald was a jack of all trades.  He was a creative builder, outdoorsman to hunting, fishing, boating, and a green thumb at gardening.  He enjoyed listening to Country Western music and was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers.  Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren.  He was a true survivor in life and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

His Family… Gerald will be missed by his loving wife; Geraldine Mickel; his children, Gerald Wayne (Ginger) Mickel, Kelly R. (Maureen) Mickel, and Ann Marie Brenner; siblings, Judy (Pat) Bohr, Karen Mickel, and Kitty Young; grandchildren, Gerald Mickel, Mandi Mickel, Christian Daniels, Brooke Mickel, Violet Mickel, Riley Mickel, Kelly Mickel, Charlie Mickel, Ryan Collins, Jacob Brenner, Cheyenne Head, and Anthony Head; and great grandchildren, Sophia and Adriana Ferguson . He is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Violet Mickel; Son, Marvin Eugene Head III; and brother, Robert Mickel.

His Farewell… Gerald’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 2:00pm till time of service at 6:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel.
