His Legacy… Gerald Alexander Slusarczyk, 82, passed away October 1, 2025. He was born on October 11, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Leon Slusarczyk and Lottie (Kosakowski) Slusarczyk. Gerald married the love of his life, Eugenia Sandel on April 18, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan. Gerald was a Navy veteran, and he enjoyed seeing the world while serving his country. After his military service, he worked for Ford Automotive as a car salesman. Gerald was laid back, easy-going and he liked to travel. He loved to hunt and fish. His dream trip was to go hunting in Africa, a dream that came true in his 60’s. Gerald was a joy to know; he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
His Family… Gerald will be missed by his wife, Eugenia Slusarczyk; his children, Kevin Slusarczyk, Michele (Ryan) Campbell; grandchildren, Kyle (Madison) Slusarczyk, Vivien Slusarczyk, Aiden Campbell and Maisie Campbell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Lottie Slusarczyk; and his siblings.
His Farewell… Gerald’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Brighton, Michigan. Father Jonathan Perrotta will serve as celebrant. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at 2:00PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to Wounded Warriors.
