His Legacy… Gerald Allen Brown, “Jerry”, 84, passed away April 5, 2024. He was born on October 10, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan to Edwin Brown and Marie (Wilczynski) Brown. Jerry married the love of his life, Dorothy, “Jill” Trask, on January 27, 1959, in Shelby Township, Michigan. He will be fondly remembered as a wonderful family man that adored his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his siblings. Jerry met Jill and instantly “fell in love” while working as a lifeguard at the beach. The day he met her he asked her to marry him and she said, yes! They have walked through life and shared 65 happy years together. Jerry never let a day go by without telling Jill how much he loved her. He was a great poet and never short on words. Jerry loved spending time in the outdoors on his lawn as well as hunting and reading classic literature. Jerry has been devoted to his faith and a member of St. Agnes Catholic church for 16 years.
His Family… Jerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Jill Brown; his children, Elizabeth Murphy-Brown, Jerrie-Lynn Miller, Jennifer (Joe) Hamel, William Edwin (Lisa) Brown; siblings, Alice Cutlip, Dennis Brown, Danny (Martha) Brown, Jonie Brown, Nora (Wally) Wallington, Elaine (Tony) Kircus, Maureen Granada, Barbara (Rick) Battani, Carol Priestap; grandchildren, Casey, Justin, Erin, Erica, Jessica, Jamie, Anthony, Joey; and great grandchildren, Sydnee, Kylee, Jackson, Savannah, Mia, Olivia, Lorelai, Gus, Aria; along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Marie Brown; his siblings, Edwin Brown, Eugene Brown, and Sharon Brown.
His Farewell… Jerry’s family and friends will gather from 4:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday April 10, 2024, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Agnes Catholic Church 855 E. Grand River Ave, Fowlerville Michigan. Fr. Nathaniel Sokol will serve as Celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Tunnels to Towers.
