His Legacy… Harrison D. Hensley, age 90, passed away May 3, 2023.  He was born on August 10, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan to Waitsel Hensley and Hazel (Finnegan) Hensley.  Harrison married the love of his life, Dolores McNamara, on January 27, 1955, in Dearborn, Michigan.  Harrison was very active throughout his life.  In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling with his family.  He and Dolores made it to all 50 states, and brought their children to 48 of them.  Their other destinations included the British Isles, the Grand Canyon (including rafting through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River), Pie de la Cuesta in Mexico, and his favorite, Bermuda.  Harrison enjoyed reading, and he ran 5ks until he was 88 years old.  He was a 70-year active member of the American Legion Post #419, and was also an active member at the Pinckney Masonic Lodge.  Most of all, Harrison loved his family.  He was devoted to Dolores, his wife of 56 years until her death, and was a wonderful father.  He will be greatly missed.

His Family…  Harrison will be missed by his children, Raymond Hensley and Marshan Alton (Hensley); sister, Lela Halverson; grandchildren, Shelby Hensley and Chelsey Hensley.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Hensley, brother, Ray Hensley, and his parents, Waitsel and Hazel Hensley.

His Farewell…  Harrison’s family and friends will gather Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 4PM-8PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel, with a memorial service at 6:30PM.
