Gorman, Harry
Howell, Michigan
His Legacy… Harry Vernon Gorman, 86, passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 14, 1939, in Pedro, Ohio, son of Edward and Gladys (Wilson) Gorman. He served in the United States Army and was proud to be a veteran. He was actively involved with the UAW serving as a Civil Rights Chairman, a role that reflected his strong voice, conviction and willingness to stand up for what he believed in.
Harry never hesitated to make his stance known, and whether through humor or stubbornness, storytelling or spirited opinions, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He brought personality into every room he entered and lived life unapologetically, his own way.
Above all else, Harry loved his family deeply and treasured the time spent with them. The stories, laughter, lessons and memories he leaves behind will continue to live on through those who loved him.
