Her Legacy… Helen Porter, age 96, passed away June 6, 2022. She was born on January 29, 1926, in Akron, Ohio to Steve and Mary (Csatto) Wargo. Helen married the love of her life, Gerald Porter, on January 16, 1946 in Akron, OH. In her spare time, she liked traveling and ballroom dancing. Most of all, Helen loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Helen leaves behind her children, Faith (Doug La Tour) Porter, William S. (Jennifer) Porter; grandchildren, Heather (Kyle), Danielle (Kevin), Brittany (Sean), Jon, Ashley, Whitney, Melanie; great grandchildren, Odin, Atlas, Dominic; niece, Jill (Jim) Helms; and nephew, Jack Valentine. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings.

Her Farewell… Helen’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 (9:30AM gathering) 10:30AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Brighton, MI. Helen will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre in Southfield, MI. In memory of Helen, memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
