Henry “LeRoy” Briggs, retired U.S. Army Corporal and Korean War Veteran, of Howell, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 24, 2022, at the age of 92. LeRoy will be remembered for his quick-wit and love of making people laugh, but most of all for his kindness and care toward everyone he crossed paths with. Beloved, dedicated, and faithful husband of Madeline; father of Greg (Linda); grandfather of April (Abe) Marvin; caring brother, uncle, cousin, and friend of so many, LeRoy will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky to know him. LeRoy is preceded in death by his son, Brian.
Being around people brought the greatest joy to LeRoy. After working for Phillips Magnavox for years, LeRoy spent retirement antiquing and traveling with Madeline, going to Nascar races, and perfecting his hat and pin collection. He was often seen walking his dog, Chase, anywhere and everywhere. His fun and caring personality was contagious to everyone he met and there was never a shortage of laughter shared when LeRoy was around.
