Her Legacy… Irene Melanie Couturier, 92, passed away March 26, 2020.  She was born on July 4, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan to William Albrecht and Ann (Hendricks) Albrecht. Irene married the love of her life, Leo Couturier, on September 8, 1945. She will be remembered as a caring and kind person, that touched many people’s hearts.

Her Family… Irene will be missed by her children; Michelle (Robert) Small, Barbara (Gregory) Dunn, Marjorie (Carrol) Dotson, AnnMarie (Joseph) Provateare, and William (Cindy) Couturier; brother, Father James Albrecht; 7grandchildren; and 14 Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; William and Ann Albrecht; her beloved husband; Leo Couturier; and son; Michael Couturier.

Her Farewell… Irene will be laid to rest in a Private Burial at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown, Michigan on Saturday, April 11, 2020. Her family and friends will gather on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. at Hamburg Chapel with a Memorial Scripture Service at 11:00 a.m. Father John Rocus will serve as celebrant.  Memorial contributions may be given to family for future designation.  Please leave a message of comfort for Irene’s family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign her guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
