Her Legacy… Isabella Jane Grant, 88, passed away August 20, 2022.  She was born on August 14, 1934, in Laing, West Virginia, to Charles McPhail and Agnes (Ferguson) McPhail. Isabella married the love of her life, Dennis Grant, on September 10, 1954, in Eskdale, West Virginia. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Isabella was a very dedicated quilter and basket weaver. She once had a tree cut down and used every last bit of it to make baskets from it, she was very talented. Isabella loved to travel with her husband, they took a trip to Myrtle Beach every anniversary. She loved children and was very active with the youth in her church. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Isabella was a joy to know and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Isabella will be missed by her children, Denise (Bob) Wisner, Charles (Tammye) Grant; sisters, Georgiana Bass, Agnes Smalley, Jane Hatfield; grandchildren, Michael (Ashley), Megan (Jimmy), Katie (Jesse); and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Grant; parents, Charles and Agnes McPhail; and sister, Mary Smith.

Her Farewell… Isabella’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 4:00PM-8:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Pastor Lee Taylor will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Fellowship Baptist Church in Whitmore Lake, MI.
