His Legacy… John “Jack” Raymond Haw Sr, 84, passed away May 15, 2025. He was born on May 16, 1940, in Garden City, Michigan to Thomas and Kate (Newton) Haw. Jack married the love of his life, Delores Cox, on November 06, 1959 in Stuttgart, Germany. Jack grew up in Garden City, Michigan, where he became a state champion wrestler at Garden City High School. After graduating, he proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years before beginning a 30+ year career with Ford Motor Company, where he worked as a mill scheduler. Jack was an outdoorsman through and through. He loved hunting, fishing, and racing snowmobiles. In retirement, he turned his passion into a small business—owning and running Sports Paradise, a sporting goods store where he could stay connected to the activities he loved.
He was an active member of the Livingston County Wildlife Conservation Club, where he enjoyed volunteering and was well known for making the salads at community events. Jack had a quiet kindness, a dry sense of humor, and a generous spirit. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.
He was also a fan of fast cars—especially his yellow Mustang GT convertible. More than anything, Jack loved his family. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
His Family… Jack will be missed by his loving wife, Delores Haw; his children, Jack Haw Jr and Lori (Michael) Stanton; sibling, Betty Clymer; grandchildren, Blake Haw, Joseph (Liz) Stanton, Kelly (Brandon) Schurman; great grandchildren, Gavin Sherman, Noah Sherman, Kolby Sherman, Kaycee Sherman, and Lucas Vu; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Kate Haw; brother, Thomas Haw; and sister, Kathleen Federspill.
