His Legacy… James Morgan Meadows Jr., 86, passed away on April 19, 2026. He was born on November 5, 1939, in Taylor, Michigan, to James Meadows Sr. and Bernadette (Trudeau) Meadows. James married the love of his life, Patricia Cobb, on September 3, 1960, in Taylor, Michigan. Together, they shared 65 years of marriage filled with love and devotion to one another. James proudly served the United States for 20 years in both the Marine Corps and the Army. He was a member of American Legion Post #141 and the American Legion in Stockbridge. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his country, and his work.
James found enjoyment in life’s simple pleasures, including bowling and the occasional round of golf. Known for his organization and dependability, he kept his household running smoothly and took great pride in being someone his family could rely on, always ready to lend a hand and fix things at a moment’s notice. He leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and steadfast commitment to those around him.
His Family… James will be missed by his loving wife, Patricia Meadows; his children, Terri Meadows, Kimberly (John) Faccio, Rebecca Meadows (Gilbran Chong), James Meadows III; siblings, Gloria Alvarado; grandchildren, Sean Chris, Nicole, Matt, Jacob, Gus; great grandchildren, Jack, Annabelle, Abigail; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James & Bernadette Meadows; siblings, Bill Meadows, Agness Potter, Juanita Emeigh.
His Farewell… James’ family and friends will gather from 2:00-5:00 PM (5:00 Community Farewell Service), Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes in Howell, Michigan.
