James (Jim) Alvin Mueller was born August 13, 1930 in West Allis, Wisconsin to Alvin and Ann (Pickett) Mueller. He was surrounded by family as he made his final journey to our Heavenly Father on March 21, 2025 at the age of 94.
Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He lived a faith filled life and demonstrated the living example of what it means to live as one of Jesus’s disciples. The Lord’s light radiated through him in everything he did.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen (Kathy) for the past 73 years. His children, Katherine (Chris) Allen, William (Linda) Mueller, Linnea (Henry) Jaworski, and Lisa (Tom) Quaine.
Grandchildren: Lee (Jessica) Allen and Christy Allen; Nicole (Steve) Theunissen and James Mueller; Laurie (Bobby) McNamara, Jeff (Filiz) Rabe, Andrew (Tiffany) Jaworski, Jacob Jaworski, Carly Shappee, and Alex Jaworski; Kelly (Ethan) Gibbons, Meghan (Nolan) Simonyi, and Tom (Kiyana) Quaine
Great- Grandchildren: Penelope, Dwyer and Fiona Allen; Liam and Zoey Theunissen; Carter and Sadie McNamara, Jem and Izelle Rabe, Olive Shappee and Joni Gibbons
He is also survived by his brother Jerry (Carol), sister-in-law Sharon Webber and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Ann Mueller, step-father Len Webber, his sister, Mary Clark and step-brother, Jim Webber.
He proudly served in the Naval Air Force. After this he began his career and was a skilled craftsman as a Tool and Die Maker with Ford Motor Company for 41 years. Jim was blessed with so many special talents. He literally could fix anything that needed to be repaired or tweaked…bikes, appliances, cars …..
After he retired, he continued to share his talents in service to his parish volunteering in RCIA, Pre-Marriage Encounter, Youth Group, Adoration and has served a Eucharistic Minister for several years during Mass as well as providing prayer and communion to the sick at the local hospital. He always helped anyone in need with a kind and charitable heart.
His genuinely warm personality and engaging communication style made everyone he came in contact with feel comfortable and valued. His sense of humor and art of story-telling provided fun and laughter to gatherings. He was a humble, gentle man that will be missed by all who had the honor to spend time with him.
Jim’s family and friends will gather Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 10:00AM-11:00AM, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pinckney, Michigan. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM. Father Dan Kogut will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions can be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen or Building Bridges of Hope (BBOH Dominican Republic).
