Janet Lee Cooke, 64, passed away April 17, 2026.  She was born on September 13, 1961, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Kenneth Emerson and Patricia (Norris) Emerson.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. Janet loved camping, picnics at the beach, and spending time with her children and all of her grandbabies. She had a gift for cooking copious amounts of food to feed her army of a family especially her delicious breakfasts and her famous “Chicken Something-or-other.”

Janet also had a creative spirit and a generous heart. She enjoyed making scrapbooks and small trinkets for those she loved, leaving behind meaningful keepsakes that will be cherished for years to come. She took pride in contributing to her community and worked tirelessly throughout her life to provide for her family.

Above all, Janet will be remembered for the deep love she had for her children and grandchildren.

Janet will be deeply missed by her children: Matt (son) & Alicia, Jessica (daughter), Shirley (daughter) & Brian, Lianne (daughter), Mark (son) & Nicole, and Jim (son) & Beulah; her partner, Ray; her father, Ken & Kay; and her siblings, Margaret (sister) & Tony, and Alan (brother) & Stacy.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ari, Caydence, Evelynn, Lincoln, Rockwell, Jordan, Wolfgang, Tommy, Ethan, Jackson, Raven, Blakely, Holland, and Isla along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia, and her brother, Ken.
