Her Legacy… Jo Ann Hawes, 83, passed away January 19, 2026. She was born on January 22, 1942, in South Lyon, Michigan to William Baker and Ruth (Miller) Baker. Jo Ann worked in accounting at Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital for 16 years. She enjoyed volunteering in the Amish community, reading and watching Hallmark movies. Jo Ann will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Her Family… Jo Ann will be missed by her sisters, Jean (Thomas) Chapman, Carol Brazzell and her son, Billy Brazzell; niece Tracie (Mark) Mesko; and nephew, Todd (Jill) Chapman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Hawes; and parents, William and Ruth Baker.
