Her Legacy… Joan Marie Hallman, 90, passed away October 1, 2023.  She was born on April 25, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan to Peter Michel and Helen (Redlak) Michel. Joan was married to the love of her life from 1950-2002, Richard I. Hallman; they had 52 wonderful years together. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.

Her Family… Joan will be missed by her children, Michael Hallman, Stephen Hallman, Sandra Scobie, Philip Hallman; 9 grandchildren; 17great- grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard I. Hallman; parents, Peter and Helen Michel; son, Richard J. Hallman; sister, Dolores Michel, and daughter-in-law, Beverly Hallman.

Her Farewell… Joan’s family and friends will gather for a memorial service, Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Brighton, Michigan. The family would like to send a special thank you to The Willows at Howell for caring for our mother and grandmother; especially Rose, Nate, Samantha, Lynn and Audry, who Ms. Joan adored and loved. The family would also like to thank her home care team, especially Melissa. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
