Her Legacy… Joan Moore, 86, passed away October 1, 2023.  She was born on April 9, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to George Ebert and Claire Bach. Joan married the love of her life, William Forest Moore, on August 21, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as a great cook who liked to keep things simple. Joan was strong in her faith and belonged to Prince of Peace Lutheran church for many years, faithfully attending services and bible study. She was an expert with sewing, crochet, quilts and needle point making among many other crafts to sell at the farmer’s market.  Joan loved video games and played them with her grandchildren even after the kids went home.

Her Family… Joan will be missed by her husband William Moore; her children, Janice (Mike) Justice, Susan (John) Damon, Karen Taylor; siblings, Rita Cadreau; seventeen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah (Terry) Ballard; her sister, Marie Ebert; grandchildren, Shaun Ryan Jeroue, Jessica Noga (Vernier - Hurst) and her parents.

Her Farewell… Joan’s family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 12:00-2:00PM with a 2:00PM Community Farewell Service at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Howell, Michigan.  Pastor Mark Franck will serve as Celebrant.
