His Legacy… John Patrick Kelley, 83, passed away May 8, 2025.  He was born on January 16, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John and Matilda (Karg) Kelley. John married, Helen Kalwinski, on April 04, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan. John will be remembered as a kind man, generous with his time, energy, and resources. John enjoyed spending time outdoors, taking time to go on long hikes well into his later years. John had a deep passion for all things cars, especially racing sports cars in real life and in videogames. John loved his family deeply and enjoyed each moment they had together playing card games and relaxing. He was deeply loved by all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed.

His Family… John will be missed by his spouse, Helen Kelley; his children, Joel Kelley, Sarah Kelley, and Paul Kelley; sister, Patti Wells; grandchildren, Anna Kelley and John R. Kelley; He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Matilda Kelley.

His Farewell… John’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Country Church, in Dexter, Michigan. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 PM. Father Brendan Walsh will serve as Presider.
