His Legacy… John Charles Mautner, 79, passed away June 21, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan to Arleigh Mautner and Eleanore (Ihrig) Mautner. John married the love of his life, Lou Ann Hanna on June 23, 1984, in Empire, Michigan. John enjoyed downhill skiing in his youth and loved to garden as he grew older. He was active in his church, Green Oak Free Methodist in Brighton, Michigan and was a trustee there.  John was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

His Family… John will be missed by his wife, Lou Ann Mautner; his son, Sean (Stephanie) Mautner; grandchildren, Dexter Mautner, Beckett Mautner; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arleigh and Eleanore; daughter, Erin Mautner; and sister, Claire Mautner.

His Farewell… John’s family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10:30AM, at Green Oak Free Methodist Church, Brighton, Michigan.
