John Taylor Sarver

His Legacy… John Taylor Sarver, 91, passed away on July 17th, 2026.  He was born on October 17th, 1934, in Braddock, Pennsylvania to William H and Irene Sarver. John married the love of his life, Bonnie Lou Cunningham, in Pennsylvania. John will be remembered as a true patriot, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, carrying with him a deep sense of duty, honor, and commitment that remained with him throughout his life. Following his service, he built a successful business and career as an automation engineer designing and building machines, working with leading automotive manufacturers including Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Through his knowledge, innovation, and dedication, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike, helping bring advanced equipment and technology to some of America's most iconic industries. While his professional accomplishments were impressive, it was his character that truly defined him. He was a man of principle who believed in doing what was right, standing by his word, and treating others with honesty and respect. If someone was in need, he never hesitated to help. He would truly give the shirt off his back to anyone, asking for nothing in return. He also knew that life was meant to be enjoyed. A natural storyteller with a gift for conversation, he could strike up a friendship with anyone he met. Whether sharing stories from years gone by, swapping jokes, or simply chatting with a stranger, he had a way of making people feel welcome. His sense of humor brought laughter to countless family gatherings and friendships. His playful spirit reminded everyone not to take life too seriously. Though he will be deeply missed, his stories will continue to be told, and his legacy will live on in the lives he touched.

His Family… John will be missed by his children; William J. (Sheila) Sarver, Patrick A. Sarver, Christopher C. Sarver and Robin (Dan) Rosenbauer. Brother Carl Sarver. Grandchildren; Stephen, Anjali, Anisha and Eve Sarver. He is preceded in death by his parents William H. and Irene Sarver, his wife Bonnie Lou Sarver and his brothers William Sarver, David Sarver and Allan Sarver.

His Farewell… John’s family and friends will gather August 1st, 2026, from 12:00PM-2:00PM with a Memory Service to follow from 2:00PM-3:00PM Memorial contributions are suggested to The Pinckney American Legion Post 419.
