His Legacy… Joseph Sherman Trudeau III, age 66, passed away November 2, 2022. He was born on May 7, 1956, in Detroit, MI to Joseph and June (Gamache) Trudeau II. Growing up, he played a variety of sports including football, hockey, and baseball. Joe even played football at Ferris State University. He married the love of his life, Judith Laier, on June 27, 1980, in Howell, MI. Joe was very skilled in construction and built all his family homes. He was a master in Tae Kwon Do and taught many over the years. In his spare time, Joe liked hunting, fishing, going to the zoo, and watching a variety of sports. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Joe was always a phone call away. Joe will be remembered for his integrity, helping others, and being a friend to all. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Joe leaves behind his wife, Judy; children, Joe V (Michelle), Angie (Michael) Combs, Alicia (Dan) Lewan; grandchildren, Jacob, Dean, Eloise, Leon, Louis, JoJo, Miles, and Rosalie. He is also survived by his mother, June; siblings, Jeree (Dob) Drake, Janice (Michael) Jazdzyk, John Trudeau, and Jason (Kathleen) Trudeau; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph II; son, Joseph IV; and grandson, Pierceon.
His Farewell… Joe’s family and friends will gather on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 3-7PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel with a rosary at 6PM. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at (9:30AM Gathering) 10:30AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Ricket Road, Brighton, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the E4 Project (e4project.org) and Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Over the years, Joe has received many lifesaving blood products.
