Joyce Ann (Hill) Campbell

Her Legacy… Joyce Ann Campbell, 78, passed away October 2, 2021.  She was born on October 13, 1942, in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Floyd Reese Hill and Helen (Harlin) Hill. Joyce married the love of her life, Lowery Douglas Campbell, on December 13, 1970, in Troy, Michigan. She will be remembered as a strong, independent, witty, generous and loving person. She received her Doctorate in Microbiology and rose to Head of Microbiology at her lab. She was very involved in her church - was a vestry leader, involved with Bible Study and School and worked with many fundraising opportunities for the community. Joyce loved Christmas. She and her family would go to Christmas Eve Mass and return home to a sumptuous feast that Joyce had prepared. On Christmas morning, Joyce was surrounded by her loving family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Family… Joyce will be missed by her children, Christina (Eric) Campbell Herp, Kevin (Diane) Campbell; grandchildren Vivian, Michael, Timber, Scarlet. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowrey Douglas Campbell, and her parents, Floyd Hill and Helen Harlin.

Her Farewell… Joyce’s family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service at Spirit of Grace Church of West Bloomfield on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 1:00pm. Pastor Peggy Rose will serve as Celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Spirit of Grace Church of West Bloomfield.
