Her Legacy… Judith Marion Merrill, 86, passed away March 16, 2023.  She was born on February 12, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph Czentnar and Irene (Balog) Czentnar. Originally from Detroit, Judy was a graduate of Western High School. Judy married George Merrill and the couple moved to Lincoln Park where they raised their girls. They later moved to Whitmore Lake and have spent the last 18 years in Cedar, MI. 

Judy worked in the banking industry for years when she wasn’t raising her girls. She loved to cook, bake and spend time with family and friends. More recently, her grandsons kept her young. She was a favorite of every charity she encountered! 

Her Family… Judy will be missed by George Merrill, her husband of over 60 years; her children, Beth Merrill, Amy (Robert) Salowitz; and her five grandsons, Robert, Joseph, and John Salowitz and Bailey and Evan (Brooke) Rudziensky; along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Irene Czentnar; brother, Joseph; sister, Elizabeth; son-in-law, John Rudziensky and many family members and friends.

Her Farewell… Judy’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 3PM-8PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 11:00AM (10AM gathering), at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude or the American Diabetes Association.
