Katherine Duff Obituary
Her Legacy… Katherine Anne Duff, 88, passed away on August 25, 2025. She was born on October 03, 1936, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Raymond and Marie (Geske) Tuer. Katherine married the love of her life, Donald H. Duff, on March 21, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as a woman of many talents and interests. She loved painting with watercolors, baking and decorating elaborate cakes, crocheting, cooking for her family, golfing, and Katherine was an accomplished seamstress. Katherine was also an excellent bowler, winning in several leagues over the years. Adventurous by nature, she enjoyed boating, flying planes, and riding with Don on his motorcycle. For nearly 42 years, she was co-owner of Don Duff Rebuilding, where she worked faithfully alongside her husband. Known for her unique sense of humor, Katherine delighted in playing practical jokes on those she loved, a true reflection of her affection and playful spirit.
Her Family… Katherine will be missed by her loving husband, Donald H. Duff; her children, Terri Duff, James (Shelly) Duff, Michael (Lori) Duff; siblings, Robert Tuer and Thomas (Joan) Tuer; grandchildren, Brandon (Melissa) Duff, Ryan (Shalyn) Duff, Sean Duff, Jeremy (Kelsey) Duff, Katie (Adam) Opatik-Duff, Ashley Duff; great grandchildren, Talia Davis, Brody Duff, Isabella Duff, Kira Duff, Jillian Duff; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Raymond and Marie Tuer.
Her Farewell… Katherine’s family and friends will gather on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes. DJ Reed will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
