Her Legacy… Kathleen Gay Higgins, 75, passed away December 11, 2024.  She was born on July 28, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Daberkoe and Dorothy (Buell) Daberkoe. Kathy married the love of her life, James Higgins, on June 13, 1969, in Livonia, Michigan. Kathy loved flowers, gardening and working in her flower beds; it brought her much joy. She enjoyed traveling with her best friend, Chris Borys; they explored much of the northern states state parks and photographing the countryside. Kathy loved antiques and collecting matchbox cars. She liked spending time at the casino and watching the Detroit Red Wings. Kathy enjoyed decorating for the holidays and always did a beautiful job of making her home look festive. Kathy was a joy to know and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her Family… Kathy will be missed by her husband, Jim Higgins; her children, Anthony Higgins, Andrew Higgins; sister, Lynne Richmond; grandchildren, Stephanie (Thomas), Ashley (Judge), Jamie, Dillon (Megan), Devin; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Aaron, August, Winslow; niece, Cheri; nephew, Rob; great nephews, Matthew, and Stephen.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Daberkoe; and daughter-in-law, Christina Higgins.
