Kay Marie (Loomis) Jachim

Her Legacy… Kay Marie Jachim, 87, passed away April 3, 2025.  She was born on December 1, 1937, in Hubbardston, Michigan to Robert Loomis and Clarissa (Vance) Loomis. Kay married the love of her life, Josef Jachim, on June 15, 1963, in Hubbardston, Michigan. She will be remembered as being caring, devoted to her family and a good cook, especially her apple pies. Kay liked to make family celebrations memorable by having themed parties.  She had great organizational skills and helped run her husband’s construction business by doing bookkeeping. Kay was a member of Rice Memorial Church and Lola Valley Church in Redford for many years.

Her Family… Kay will be missed by her loving husband of 61 years, Josef; her son, David (Jill) Jachim; sister, Edith (Kent) Loomis Conant; grandchildren, Jordan, Aidan, Amara, Tirzah. She is preceded in death by her son, Josef Robert, “JR”, Jachim; sisters, Sue Loomis and Donna Gach; parents, Robert and Clarissa Loomis.

Her Farewell… Kay’s family and friends will gather on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 1:00-5:00 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel in Howell, Michigan.
