Fritzsch, Kelly
Pinckney, MI
Kelly Gene Fritzsch, 65, of Pinckney, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 29, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, to Walburn Eugene and Ronetta Florence (Blow) Sexton, Kelly built a life centered on faith, family, and taking care of the people she loved. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Bernie, built on unwavering love, partnership, and devotion. Through every season, they faced life side by side, and their steadfast commitment to one another was an inspiration to everyone who knew them.
Kelly had a servant’s heart. She was the first to show up when someone needed help, the one who remembered birthdays, organized holidays, checked in with loved ones, and somehow made everyone feel cared for. She was the rock of her family—the steady presence everyone leaned on through life’s celebrations and its hardest moments.
But anyone who knew Kelly also knew she wasn’t afraid to tell it like it was. She had a sharp wit, a quick sense of humor, and just the right amount of sass. If you needed honesty, she gave it to you. If you were out of line, she’d lovingly call you on your nonsense. She had a way of making people laugh, keeping them grounded, and reminding them what truly mattered.
Above all else, Kelly’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a proud mom, an incredibly loving grandma, and the heart of every gathering. Her love was constant, her strength unwavering, and the example she set will continue to guide those fortunate enough to have known her.
Her legacy is one of selfless love, quiet strength, fierce loyalty, and unwavering devotion to the people she held closest. She leaves behind a family forever shaped by her kindness, resilience, and the countless ways she made life better for everyone around her.
Kelly will be deeply missed by her husband, Bernard Fritzsch; her children, Ryan (Alyssa) Fritzsch and Niki Fritzsch; her brothers, Keith (Stephanie) Sexton and Kraig (Katrina) Sexton; and her cherished grandchildren, Rylie, Amira, Arianna, Jackson, Ava, Ayla, Jonathon, Alexa, R.J., Alivia, and Sawyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Roni Sexton.
Kelly’s family and friends will gather Monday July 13, 4:00PM-8:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Homes, Hamburg, Michigan. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday July 14, 11:00AM (10:00AM gathering), at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pinckney, Michigan. Fr. Seamus will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society. Please leave a message of comfort for Kelly’s family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign her guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
