His Legacy… Kenneth Charles Hickey, 63, passed away on April 9, 2026. He was born on February 3, 1963, in New Brighton, Pennsylvania to Richard and Lois (Jernburg) Hickey. Ken married the love of his life, Stacy Stemple, on September 14, 1991, in Burton, Michigan. Ken was raised in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. As a teenager, he worked at Perkins Steakhouse and a local steel mill, gaining the values of perseverance and responsibility that would guide him throughout his life. He attended Blackhawk High School in Beaver Falls, where he built lifelong friendships and developed a passion for riding dirt bikes, a pastime that brought him great joy in his youth. Ken went on to attend Geneva College, earning his bachelor’s degree in engineering. Driven by a desire to continue learning, he later pursued and completed his master’s degree at Central Michigan University. Ken’s career led him to General Motors, where he worked faithfully for many years before retiring in 2024. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a devoted and loving father. Known for his compassion, intelligence, and steady presence, he made a lasting impact on all who knew him. He found happiness in simple pleasures, especially watching baseball and cheering on his favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Detroit Tigers. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his dedication to his family, and the example he set through a life well lived.
His Family… Decedent will be missed by his wife Stacy Hickey; his children; Christopher and Sarah Beth Hickey, his mother Lois Hickey; brothers; Paul (Donna) Hickey and Jon (Darla) Hickey their daughters Koral and Tesla. His sister-in-law Heather Stemple her kids Deaven (Jessica) Vincent, Logan and Ahnalea Wohlford, great nephews Milo, Bennett, Hunter, Nicole and PJ Hickey, also Carrie, Fred Wright, Noel Stemple, Jeff Cregar, Daryll Sanchez, Andrea and her daughter Peyton and Caleb and Cayden. He is preceded in death by His father Richard Hickey.
