His Legacy… Kenneth Raymond York, 87, passed away March 2, 2025.  He was born on September 27, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to Arnold York and Alma (Lukofsky) York. Kenneth married the love of his life Sally Hayes, on January 26, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan. Kenneth was a journeyman carpenter, and retired early, at 56 years old. He was incredibly family oriented and loved children. Retiring early gave him the opportunity to care for his grandchildren while their parents worked. He loved to have his grandchildren come stay with him and enjoyed taking them to Cedar Point and many other fun activities. Kenneth loved fishing, boating, playing cards, cooking and dancing. He at one time was on a bowling league with his daughters, he was a great bowler. Kenneth was a kid at heart, and someone that you could always count on. Kenneth was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

His Family… Kenneth will be missed by his children, LeeAnn (Bob) Hubbard, JoLynn (Jerry) Williams, Kenneth “Butch” (Shirley) York II, Troy (Teresa) York; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sally York; and parents, Arnold and Alma York.

His Farewell… Kenneth’s family and friends will gather Monday, March 10, 2025, from 10:00AM-1:00PM, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will follow at 1:00PM. Pastor Ken Greble will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Kids Camp Fund at Whitmore Lake Rod and Gun Club.
