Kevin Lee Noon, lovingly known as “Kevin” or “Papa,” was born on April 15, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away July 26, 2025 in Howell, Michigan, surrounded by the love of his family.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Belinda, and his children: Amber Noon (Jarod Welzbacker), Adam Noon, Amanda Strauss (Wes Fisher), and Matt Strauss (Erin) and daughter-in-law Jenny Noon. He was the proud and adoring grandfather—Papa—to Ella, Evelyn, and Thaddeus, who brought him endless joy and pride. Papa shared a birthday with Evelyn, a bond that made every April 15th even more special—he never missed celebrating their day together. He is also survived by his sister, Tammie Milus (Bob), with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and a deep sibling bond.
After a long and dedicated career, Kevin retired from General Motors, where he exemplified hard work and commitment. But it was in the great outdoors where Kevin truly thrived. A lifelong outdoorsman, his passions ranged from duck and bear hunting to fishing for the biggest bass. He also enjoyed camping—especially with those he loved—and took great pride in keeping his tools meticulously organized. He was a skilled woodworker, creating countless cherished items that will be treasured for generations.
Kevin’s strength went far beyond the physical. He offered wisdom—even when you didn’t want to hear it—and was always there with a must-help attitude for anyone in need. He was a cherished uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews, a cousin to many, and a friend to more than can be named—most of whom felt more like family.
For Kevin, “camo is a color” wasn’t just a joke—it was a lifestyle. His legacy lives on in the values he passed down: a deep love for family, a respect for nature, and the steady, quiet strength of a man who lived life on his own terms. He will be remembered not only for his rough, rugged, camo exterior, but also for the love, loyalty, and wisdom he shared so generously.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donna Noon and Michael Noon, whose memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.
