Her Legacy… Laura Jean Reiman, 92, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 6, 2026. She was born on July 11, 1933, in Osage, West Virginia, to John and Carla (Robinette) Weishap. Laura spent her early years in West Virginia before moving to Detroit at the age of eleven. She graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit in 1951. In 1954, Laura married Ted Vollmar, and together they welcomed their daughter, Nancy, followed by their son, Karl. After Ted’s passing in 1978, Laura found love again and married Allan Reiman on January 26, 1980, in Hamburg, Michigan. and welcomed their daughter, Michelle and son, Vince. They shared 46 years of marriage.
Laura will be remembered for her deep devotion to her faith, her family, and her unwavering commitment to serving others. She expressed her faith through evangelism, national and international missions, teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, working with teen mothers, and helping to start three churches. She also served her community faithfully as a member of the Pinckney Community Schools Board for many years. Laura had a passion for people and worked tirelessly to mentor, encourage, and support those around her, meeting needs in countless ways.
Her Family… Laura will be dearly missed by her husband, Allan Reiman; her children, Karl Vollmar, Nancy (Bill) Sutton, Michelle (John) Law, Vincent (Diane) Kuchan; grandchildren, Andy, Kyle, Carla, Charis, Josiah, Jalina, Kiria, Delanna, Annatina; great grandchildren, Charlotte Jean, Charlotte Erin-Grace, Elizabeth; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Carla Weishap; siblings, Jack Weishap, Danny Weishap, Betty Weishap; daughter-in-law, Kelly Vollmar.
Her Farewell… Laura’s family and friends will gather on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM, until the time of her Community Farewell at 12:00 PM at Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Brighton, Michigan. Pastor Brian Tweedie will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cornerstone EPC Missions.
