It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lawrence Richard Savoy, 66, who peacefully departed this world on March 10, 2024. He leaves behind his wife, Marly Savoy, with whom he shared a loving marriage of over 30 years, his son, Lawrence Savoy, and his daughter, Monica Reyes. He is also survived by his mother, Sylvia Savoy, his sisters Kim Savoy Barrett, Karen Cohen, and his brother, Richard Savoy. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to his grandsons Ahmed, Aiden, and Amilio Reyes, and his granddaughter, Blake Savoy. He joins his Father, Lawrence Leon Savoy, and his sister Jayne Savoy Franklin.

Born on December 3rd, 1957, Larry grew up in Pinckney, Michigan. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and a best friend to many. Larry was known for his warm heart, his perfection of dad jokes, and unwavering devotion to those he cared about. Throughout his life, he dedicated making time for others above himself.

Throughout his life, Larry showcased a remarkable talent for creation, possessing an outstanding engineering mind coupled with an innate ability to fix anything that crossed his path. His unparalleled patience and deep understanding of others formed the very essence of his character, leaving an enduring imprint on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Outside of his professional life, Larry was an amazing chef, an outstanding host to many events, a helper of everyone he crossed paths with, a lover of camping, and traveling to visit Costa Rica was his favorite amongst many other places. Throughout his life, he created waves with each step he took in and around the lives of everyone.

Larry will be remembered for his selflessness, his ability to find humor in any situation, and his unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

A viewing will be held at Borek Jennings Funeral Home located at 7425 M-36, Brighton, MI 48116.
