Lee Otis Yoakum

His Legacy… Lee Otis Yoakum, age 87, passed away March 11, 2023. He was born on April 17, 1935 in Cumberland Gap, TN to Robert and Myrtle (Evans) Yoakum. Lee served his country in the United States Air Force. He married the love of his life, Ogretta Johnson, on October 1, 1958 in Clawson, MI. In his spare time, Lee enjoyed fishing, gardening, tinkering, and whittling. He was dedicated to his faith and regularly attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Whitmore Lake, MI. Lee was part of The Gideons International. He will be remembered for his very giving nature. Lee will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His Family… Lee leaves behind his daughters, Vickie (Keith) Trull and Nita (Robert) Raymond. He is also survived by siblings, Hadley (Rosa), Caroline Gaida; and brother-in-law, Don Lusk. Lee is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gretta; siblings, Forster, Eugene, Dorothy Jazinski, Bobby, and Wanda Lusk.

His Farewell… Lee’s family and friends will gather on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 4-8PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11AM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel with a gathering beginning at 10AM until the time of service.
