His Legacy… Leo Paul Bonish, 85, passed away on July 25, 2026.
Born on July 16, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, Leo was the son of Julius Bonish and Pauline (Fedasz) Bonish. Leo will be remembered as a loving, loyal, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a hardworking man with a warm heart and a gift for making others smile through his classic sense of humor. He found great joy in nature and the outdoors and had a lifelong passion for photography. While he enjoyed his work as a dairy farmer, he also built a creative career behind the camera, photographing weddings and graduations, producing training films, and creating promotional videos for local businesses and community organizations.
Leo's kindness, dedication to his family, strong work ethic, and ability to bring laughter to those around him will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
His Family… Leo will be missed by his children, Brian (Kimberly) Bonish, Jennifer (James) Prather, Chris Bonish; sister-in-law, Judy Bonish; grandchildren, Kirsten, Riley, Haley; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen Bonish; parents, Julius and Pauline Bonish; brother, Robert Bonish.
