Hogan, Leo
Whitmore Lake, Michigan
His Legacy… Leo C. Hogan, 83, passed away June 26, 2020. He was born on March 26, 1937, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Clarance and Leola (Dennis) Hogan. Leo married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Liz” Kores, on May 21, 1958, in Brighton, Michigan. He will be remembered as a loving father, caring grandfather, and cherished great grandfather. Leo’s family deeply appreciated his wisdom, and the excellent advice he would give. At times, Leo could be stern, but often he was cheerful; a true jokester. For more than 40 years, Leo worked at King Engineering in Ann Arbor. Often, he worked another job or two, to make sure his family was well supported. When his children were growing up, Leo and his family would pack a bunch of hotdogs and enjoy the races at Manchester Speedway. He could build just about anything, and did, including barns, sheds, a garage, and even a fireplace. Retirement afforded Leo a chance to pursue his many passions. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and camping. Leo also enjoyed spending time playing cards and gaming at the casino. He was an animal lover, and his beloved dog, Bear, was rescue pet. When Leo’s wife, Liz, began ailing, Leo took excellent care of her for the next twenty years, until she passed. Leo always took immense pride in his family and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
His Family… Leo will be missed by his children, Mary (Daniel) Zide, Brenda (Merlyn) Charboneau; siblings, Jack Hogan, Shirley Stillion; grandchildren, Crystal Clark, Matthew Wiggins; great grandchildren, Termaine, Kelsey, Ryan, and Cooper. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarance and Leola Hogan.
