Lester Martin Sparrow

His Legacy…Lester Martin Sparrow, 83, passed away May 18, 2021.  He was born on April 24, 1938, in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Austin Sparrow and Florence (Laurie) Sparrow. Lester will be remembered as a wonderful loving father, husband, brother and grandfather.  He had a big heart and enjoyed making memories with those he loved.  Lester was a hard worker and people were naturally drawn to him.  Some of his hobbies were drag racing, U of M football and cooking.  He loved his cats MacMac and Kitty and was loyal and dedicated to his family most of all.  He will be deeply missed.  

His Family… Lester will be missed by his children, Laurie (Rocky) Fletcher, William Martin (Cheryl Ann) Sparrow, Cheryl (David) Philipp, John (Kelli) Sparrow; first wife, Angeline Roles (Sparrow); loyal friend and brother in law, John Rafalski; siblings, Lavon (Larry) Domas, Keith (Virginia) Sparrow; grandchildren, Shauna (Jon) Arcalas, Ryan (Jenny) Philipp, Brian Sparrow, Natalie (Mike) Curry, Brett Sparrow, Jordan (Aimee) Philipp, Jalen Sparrow, Luke (Sarah) Sparrow, Morgan (Liam) Howell, Parker Sparrow; great grandchildren, Madalyn Philipp, Riley Philipp, Hannah Monroe, Jarrett (Stephanie) Monroe, Juliana Arcalas, Olivia Arcalas, Bailey Sparrow, Matthew Sparrow, Noah Curry, Marley Curry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Florence Sparrow; grandson, Bradley Martin Sparrow; sister and brother in law, Mildred (Joe) Porter; brother and sister in law, Dale (Joan) Sparrow.

His Farewell… Lester’s family and friends will gather Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5:00-8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Community Farewell will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11:00am (10:00am gathering) at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel.
